I am a Jack of Many Trades.
I am a food and wine critic for My City Eats & Entertainment Magazine in Orlando, FL. I am also a wine consultant for Flow Wine Group in Orlando, a professional blogger for SOS eMarketing, and the Chief of Staff and a contributing writer at The Gates of Seminole magazine and Gates Media, Inc. (including writing for their radio show on occasion).
I am studying with the hopes of earning my Sommelier and I have been working on a fantasy series since I was ten (that of course nobody has read yet).
I went to college to study costume and set design. I was a member of Delta Psi Omega (coed theater fraternity) and I dabble in painting and sketching with charcoal.
I am a 4’10” pixie, but I am convinced I’m the size of a football player. I am clumsy but I can jump a fence in both 4″ heels and knee-high boots. (Don’t ask me how I know.)
My comfort foods include chocolate, olives of any kind, jalepenos and wine. I hang with the boys, gossip with the girls, adore my sister Rickie, and love the crap out of my parents and various other family members. I share custody of a Bengal named Thor who is in every way a reflection of his human-parents’ sarcastic selves. I am giving serious consideration to making him a catnip toy shaped like a hammer.
I tend to get into ironic situations and sometimes even a bit of mischief. I haven’t grown out of that completely and, given that I’m 24, I probably never will. I love to travel, but I also love coming home. My best friends will tell you that I change my mind about twenty times a day. I have the attention span of a goldfish and my theater background has only enhanced my affinity for the dramatic. Generally, I walk around with an amused smirk and a sarcastic quip.
I’m basically trying to paint, laugh, sketch, write, rhyme, skim-board, sew, act, sing and dance my way through life. It’s haphazard and it’s often irrational, but it’s exhilarating…and really, what else is there?
